Account Manager: Corporate Sales – EDI00007T

Job Summary:


This position is responsible for bringing new accounts and developing existing ones (acquisition & Retention) in order to increase revenue and market share.

As an account manager you will be required to prospect, maintain service and grow these relationships always using the “current” Company and Sales Strategy as your guideline and working towards achieving set objectives as prescribed by the Year on Year targets.


Key Areas of Responsibilities:


  • Grow the business and revenue via gross connections and upgrades (voice, mobile data & fixed solutions) through achieving and exceeding monthly sales target required during financial year;
  • Revenue Protection through Downgrades and Churn avoidance;
  • Prospecting  and pipeline development  according to Line Manager’s  guidance ;
  • Increase voice and data lines from existing customers;
  • On-board new customers to VM portfolio’s;
  • Monitor customers’ business with competition in order to make a proper plan to buy;
  • Provide Consultation and advice to Corporate Clients;
  • Ensure that Key accounts are given a differentiated treatment;
  • Proactively recommend VAS (Value Added Services)/ Data Solutions to customers in order to generate additional revenue to VM.
  • Achieve Renewals and New Lines targets and recommend possible upgrades solutions to the clients;
  • Compile reports for clients on tariff optimisation, upgrades, churn, trends, etc.;
  • Negotiate agreements and detailed proposals with regards to special deals, tariff migrations, VAS, discounts, SLA’s etc;
  • Be aware of promotions, deals and new tariffs launched competitors and duly communicate to relevant parties;
  • Conduct regular visits with key role players (Manager and EHOD) according to pre-determined call cycles;
  • Ensure that all customers under the portfolios are regularly visited according to set criteria;
  • Drive Personal Training;
  • Be abreast on market trends, technology and new devices launched and communicate to relevant parties.


Qualifications / Experience:


  • Tertiary education or Degree in management an advantage;
  • Customer relations experience
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in sales and customer service;
  • Experience and Knowledge of Telecoms industry would be an advantage;
  • Strong Sales Planning Skills;
  • Strong Commercial deal structuring skills.
