Job objectives:

 

  • Implementation/improvement of fraud detection controls on Insight Fraud management system
  • Investigation of fraud in the Billing and MPESA Platform
  • Measurement and reporting fraud metrics
  • Ensure investigations are conducted in accordance with Vodacom policies and procedures (Evidence sourcing, investigations, witness interviews, etc.)

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure investigations of the FMS alerts are conducted regularly.
  • Documenting fraud case reports for onward escalation to relevant stakeholders
  • Fraud risk assessment on new systems and processes rolled out in Vodacom telecom services
  • Follow-up on system and process corrections that are required to improve fraud management controls
  • Keeping up to date with all changes in mobile services and fraud detection and prevention practices and ensuring that the business is taking proactive measures to mitigate potential fraud risks
  • Liaise with other Vodafone/Vodacom markets to ensure fraud management controls in Vodacom Mozambique are suitably benchmarked
  • Implement VCG/ VFG policies and procedures with regards to GSM fraud to maintain close working relations with internal and external sources and stakeholders (Billing, Revenue Assurance, Customer Care, Roaming team, VCG, VFG)
  • Compile monthly/ quarterly reports on cases investigated
