Purpose of Job /Role Intent:

This role is responsible for assisting in the implementation of people processes; supporting HR processes, practices and systems to achieve enhanced effectiveness and efficiency; and proactively supporting and educating employees and line management on HR processes.

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

Required entry Qualifications: 

–  Grade 12 or equivalent

–  Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Behavioural or Business Sciences will be an advantage

 

Required entry Years of relevant experience:

–  0- 2 years generalist HR experience.

 

Core Elements of Job

1. HR Analytics

• Uses HR technology and systems to extract relevant HR data.

• Compiles and presents meaningful HR reports through interpretation, comparisons and trend analyses.

• Ensures data integrity of HR system.

• Ensure payroll execution for E&PI in Mozambique and payroll data integrity

• Ensure proper tax deduction and allocation as per country legislation

• Compiles Payroll reports and approvals in line with SOX controls

 

2. Recruitment and on-boarding of employees

• Assists with the recruitment and selection process for employees and leaners, in collaboration with the HRBP/ HRC, Training and line management.

• Assists in managing the employment contracting process.

• Assists with the enrolment and on-boarding process.

• Assists in facilitating the recruitment requisition process with the recruitment department.

• Assists in facilitating in the international mobilization of personnel across regions in liaison with Mobility Office.

• Assists with “look and see” visits

 

3. Employee Relations

• Attends hearings, grievances and other employee relations meetings as an observer.

• Understands employee relations policies and processes.

• Assists in advising line managers and employees on documented employee relations processes.

• Sets up relevant hearings and grievance meetings in collaboration with HRBP/HRC.

• Assists in drafting relevant documentation.

• Ensures the collation and finalization of relevant documentation on completion.

• Extracts and captures information on the ER system.

• Able to advise line managers on differences between regional policies, procedures and processes at a high level and refer to correct support source.

• Assists with filing of Disciplinary process documentation

 

4. Remuneration and Employee Benefits

• Understands all remuneration and benefits principles, policies and procedures and can explain them to employees.

• Does calculations and formulae related to remuneration and benefits.

• Liaises with shared services to effect changes to employee benefits and remuneration.

• High level understanding of differences between regions and able to refer to correct support source for relevant region

 

5. Staff movement and separation of employees

• Coordinates the employee movement processes and procedures (e.g. employee transfers, promotions, redeployment and rotation)

• Coordinates the employee separation process and procedures (e.g. resignation, retirement, retrenchment, dismissal, ill health, death and incapacity)

• Complies with relevant SOX testing and compliance requirements pertaining to personnel movements

• Supports HRBP/HRC with repatriation of expatriates where necessary – liaison with Mobility office
