The U.S. Mission in Maputo/Mozambique is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant of Public Affairs section.
- Completion of secondary school, College or technical training in business administration, financial management, or a field related to administrative management is required.
2. Three to five years responsible experience in business management or accounting is required.
3. Level 4 (fluent) of English (reading/writing/speaking). (This will be tested.)
4. Level 4 (fluent) of local language (reading/writing/speaking). (This will be tested.)
The incumbent serves as the primary Grants Officer Representative (GOR) for all public diplomacy grants not involving American Spaces. The incumbent assists the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) and Assistant Public Affairs Officer in managing the budget and resources of the Public Affairs Section (PAS). The incumbent serves as the backup travel arranger for PAS and as the backup GOR for public diplomacy grants involving American Spaces, such as the Information Resource Center (IRC), the American Cultural Center (ACC), American Corners (ACs), and Reading Rooms (RRs).
