Job Summary
The Office Manager will be based in Maputo and reports to the Mozambique Country Manager and will be responsible to oversee and manage the office Services in Mozambique, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (8) years’ experience in office management. Specific experience and expertise in the following is required:

  • Direct work experience in multinational companies, Projects or Operations in a practical – hands on – role
  • Experience in contractor/Vendor  management
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets, office procedures and policies
  • Fluent oral and written knowledge of English is required.
  • Good knowledge of information mapping and presentation
  • Experience in Basic Microsoft Office programs (Work, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees preventive maintenance of office buildings and corporate leased housing
  • Develops and administers the annual office budges
  • Manages AMA1 road personnel transportation
  • Engages in projecting and budgeting maintenance costs; monitors current costs of maintenance services
  • Recommends changes to proposals and plans based on budget assessment, as well as the forecasted amount of maintenance activities facilities may require
  • Manages compliance requirements for all office properties
  • Determines appropriate changes to existing office property, reviews reports on property conditions and assessments conducted by Facilities representatives
  • Develops contractor management strategy
  • Manages global contractors consistently from selection, contract terms and conditions, risk, compliance, and vendor transparency
  • Establishes preferred providers based on capability, legal presence, sponsorship, and tax compliance
  • Leverages contractors to manage costs and to ensure that rates and uplifts are competitive
  • Manages day-to-day operations and relationships with external vendors
  • Manages AMA1 offices logistics and materials control
  • Manages In country administration service
  • Ensures Office services are available and meets the needs of the business
  • Manages AMA1 facilities in country (Maputo Offices/houses)
  • Ensure appropriate office resources are sourced so that Project goals can be achieved in appropriate time frame
  • Ensure that the Anadarko office rules are adhered to by employees and contractors
  • Other tasks as assigned

Education           
Bachelor’s degree with an engineering or other technical Major. Master’s degree is preferred.

Travel
Must be willing to travel periodically as required.

Work Schedule 
This position is on a 40 hour /week schedule Monday – Friday.
