The U.S. Mission in Maputo/Mozambique is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Public Health Administrative Management Specialist (Finance).
- Bachelor’s degree or host country equivalent in finance, accounting, international business, public administration, business administration, or management is required.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting or financial management for a public health or development-related public or non-governmental organization is required.
- Level IV English (fluency in both written and oral) is required. (This will be tested)
- Level IV Portuguese (fluency in both written and oral) is required. (This will be tested)
The job holder is a financial analyst responsible for the day-to-day budget management of CDC Mozambique agency programs and reports directly to the Financial Manager. Job holder’s responsibilities include budgeting, accounting, financial analysis and reporting for operating and non-operating expenditures. Job holder also have responsibility for developing the agency’s operating budget, tracking expenses and liaising with the Department of State (ICASS service provider) financial management office (FMO). Job holder provides specialized financial advice and recommendations on long-term resource requirements, forecasts and projections on the various budgetary and financial activities in country. This is in addition to the close working relationship job holder must have with all implementing partners in order to ensure that their financial statements and reports meet the CDC requirements set out for public health programs in country.
