Serves as office manager and budget analyst for DoD PEPFAR within the DoD Office of Security Cooperation.
The Administrative Assistant provides the Department of Defense (DoD) – President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) office with administrative support in PEPFAR funded programs for the Host Country Miltary-Forças Armadas de Defesa de Moçambique (FADM). The AA provides clerical and administrative support in carrying out activities under the Department of Defense HIV/AIDS Prevention Program (DHAPP). Direct supervision is provided by the DoD PEPFAR Program manager with oversight by the Office of Security Cooperation (OSC) Chief. The incumbent will also provide administrative support to the DoD PEPFAR Care and Treatment Advisor.
Serves as a liaison with the Financial Management Office (FMO) on DoD PEPFAR budget administration and control, including budget formulation based on travel, management and operation costs. Incumbent is responsible for reviewing budget expenditures through COAST reports for appropriateness, monitoring use of funds for activities, and following up on irregular findings with the FMO. Incumbent will report all findings and recommendations to the Program Manager.
The job holder will participate in interagency Technical Working Groups (TWG) as the DoD PEPFAR representative. The incumbent will also provide the PEPFAR Coordination Office with updated information on Non-Government Organization Implementing Partners (IP). The incumbent will also ensure compliance and data integrity/quality from the IPs by using Dev Results, Expenditure Analysis and DATIM systems. The incumbent serves as the back-up for the Program manager on an as-needed basis and attends PEPFAR and FADM meetings on the Program Manager’s behalf.
