Coca – Cola Beverages Africa has an exciting vacancy of Area Sales Manager at one of our Mozambique Bottlers – Matola Plant, leading producer of various flavors in Mozambique for the last 25 years. This is senior management position based at Maputo, that reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Director. The incumbent will be responsible to deliver Volume and Revenue growth in all channels and to grow customer base and manage accounts. Brilliant execution and sales through their sales team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

– Manages and measures sales targets daily and takes corrective action with team;
– Maximizes allocation of resources in area (e.g. POS, Coolers;
– Partner with sales reps and customers to develop and execute a customer specific business plan;
– Ensure the execution and Implementation of Picture of Success by channel is being done by the sales teams;
– Order Generation : Sell in Core packs as per Picture of Success;
– Negotiates permanent, promotional and ad hoc space with customer;
– Attends frequent trade visits to customer stores with relevant personnel;
– Supports the front line staff in building strong relationships with each customer;
– Develop, implement and/or manage account specific programs, promotions and packs as required and evaluation;
– Identifies competitor activities and develops and implements response tactics;

Skills, Experience & Education

– Honours Degree or Diploma in Sales/ Marketing or related fields;
– 5 years of working experience in this role or similar position preferably at FMCG business;
– Customer focused & Service orientation and Competitor insights;
– Strategic Thinker, Analytical Skills and Resilient;
– Good negotiation skills and Commercial/ Industry awareness;
– Excellent interpersonal skills, good motivational skills, Coach and Lead;
– Computer literacy as user specially for Microsoft packages;
– Proficiency in Portuguese and English languages.
