Short Description / Purpose of Job

Develop and implement the Mozambique country’s HR Mobility policies, procedures and processes and is accountable for the execution and governance of all entry requirements for Sasol employees and projects.

Partners with business and project resources to ensure mobility reporting, contracts, secondment agreements and government connections are in place. Serves as subject matter expert on all Mozambique HR mobility matters.

 

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Analyse and asses the country’s mobility needs for relevant departments to provide employee mobility forecast and planning.

Manage applications that need to be filed and submitted or support mobilisation specialists in other provinces. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand progress and plans.

Provide support to PSA and Well projects on work permit matters where required in terms of government engagements, bottlenecks or obstacles.

Ensure proper monitoring, overall country governance and reporting process in place for permit and other mobility processes that will facilitate government engagements and execution of assumed commitments.

Build government relationships. Subject matters expert on visa and permit matters (in-house) and directs the implementers in other provinces

Define processes and procedures for secondments, visas, work permits at country level. All mobility process to be mapped and communicated to internal clients and expatriates. Ensure that required forms and document requirements are documented and summarised in checklists and guidelines. Centralise approval for recommendation letters for business visa and other permit applications and keep records.

Ensure local onboarding programme in place for workers and visitors to Mozambique. Communicate with applicants, provide them with necessary information and documentation and paperwork.

Draft reports for submission to Exco and all relevant government entities.

Ensure quarterly audits are done at all Sasol premises and compile report.

Advise on all visas, short term permits and long-term work permit applications for expat employees and contractors. Audit adherence to applicable SOP at Sasol premises.

Liaison for the Mobility office in South Africa and manage expatriate process as country expert for Mozambique in-country. Liaise with tax and payroll to manage payroll and system matters as it relates to expat employees and contractors.

Keep accurate filing and records – scan and save electronically on company repository.

Handle all government queries and audits.

Set proper KPIs to measure and evaluate mobility performance.

Implement Sasol Group’s risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, managers, relevant departments, and other relevant external stakeholders to identify, plan, and support business’s needs and objectives.

Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.

Manage team/own performance and development formally and informally based on standard practices in use across Sasol Group.

Formal Education

University Bachelor’s Degree

 

Min Experience

6+ relevant years

Must be fluent in Portuguese
