Short Description / Purpose of Job
Define and execute the local province Expat and Contractor Mobility guidelines, procedures and processes and is accountable for the implementation and governance of all entry requirements for Sasol employees and project resources in the province.
Partners with business and project resources to ensure resource mobilisation, mobility reporting, contracts, secondment agreements and government connections are in place. Partners with the Senior Specialist Country Mobility, Governance and permits for central country support and advice.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Analyse and asses the project and province mobility needs for relevant departments to provide employee mobility forecast and planning.
Manage applications that need to be filed and submitted within province. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand progress and plans.
Provide support to PSA and Well Delivery projects on work permit matters where required, leading engagements with government to resolve bottlenecks or obstacles. Support with the application of LTWP for expats and contractors as per specific provincial requirements
Manage mobilization of expatriates and contractors to projects.
Build government relationships.
Ensure proper monitoring, overall country governance and reporting process is in place for permit and other mobility processes that will facilitate government engagements and execution of assumed commitments – execution and system Applications, monitor, audit.
Ensure the dissemination of the expatriate/work permit SOP.
Ensure Contractors comply with all the expatriate Labor requirements; engage with Labour brokers.
Define processes and procedures for secondments, visas, work permits at province level and align with Country Mobility Specialist. Mobility process to be mapped and communicated to internal clients and expatriates. Ensure that required forms and document requirements are documented and summarised in checklists and guidelines. Centralise approval for recommendation letters for business visa and other permit applications and keep records.
Ensure local onboarding programme in place for workers and visitors to projects and plants. Communicate with applicants, provide them with necessary information and documentation and paperwork.
Draft reports for submission for Exco and all relevant government entities.
Do quarterly audits at all Sasol premises and compile report.
Advise on all visas, short term permits and long-term work permit applications for expat employees and contractors. Audit adherence to applicable SOP at Sasol premises.
Liaison with the Country Mobility office to manage expatriate process. Keep accurate filing and records – scan and save electronically on company repository; forward copies to Country HR.
Handle all local government queries and audits.
Set proper KPIs to measure and evaluate mobility performance.
Implement Sasol Group’s risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, managers, relevant departments, and other relevant external stakeholders to identify, plan, and support business’s needs and objectives.
Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.
Manage team/own performance and development formally and informally based on standard practices in use across Sasol Group.

University Bachelor’s Degree
6+ relevant years
Must be fluent in Portuguese
